I then went to Chris M Allport's workshop "Mastering Self Direction"; however it was really about Mastering Self Promotion. This workshop was one whole infomercial. He played demo after demo that his company (allportproductions) produced and then had folk read a section of a new animated pilot he was creating. One thing I will say I learned from Chris All-about-me-port's workshop was the importance of a well produced demo, from the proper scripts, reads and production quality. My demo which was already 30seconds too long paled tremendously in comparison. What a valuable lesson.
